This is the story of our 4th son and 6th child. Many people don't understand why people desire a home birth... My prayer is that through sharing our intimate details of this beautiful adventure you will see why it is our passion.
This is me in early labor (in fact my water had just broken). I am having fun taking pics of myself!
Troy takes one last shot of my belly and swollen hands.
Things begin to get serious and we head for the tub. The water draws some women to it for comfort, I am not normally one of those women, but during labor there is something great about it! I love troy in this pic! Relaxing and watching my body prepare for birth!
As things progress I enter into my "laborland". There my eyes are closed, I am serious, I am trying to relax and ride the wave of every contraction! At this point I am so thankful that there are no tubes, machines or people I don't know checking on me! It is just me and my hubby there, the same two people that were there when this baby was made!
This is moments after Enoch entered the world for the first time. I am in complete thankfulness to the Lord for a beautiful baby boy and the relief that he is now out!
He is nuzzled into me for the next 45 min just bonding and nursing. He was an early baby so he is still covered in his protective layer. This is God special lotion for his body, we will rub this into his skin for the next 24 hours or so.
Isaac was so excited to be able to cut the cord! They already have a strong bond!
Marie saying, "baby come out!" She has been waiting for this day more than any of the other children!
Isaac still working on the cord...
The family celebration! Still in the tub (about 15 min after birth) all the children join in to celebrate the new member of our crew!
This is my perfect placenta! It was completely contact. Do you see why they call it the tree of life? God has so intricately planed out everything for this baby! I adore the Lord for all He has blessed us with!
One proud daddy! He now has 4 sons that he will lead and guide into men that serve the Lord! What a blessed man of God!
This is my midwife Laura. She has my little bundle in that blanket... She has an old school scale that reveals the weight. 6lbs 10oz 20in
This is my favorite picture! All snuggled in our bed for some loving on the new baby! We are so blessed! All together!
Our first visitor is Grandpa. He is another proud Papa! This is #14 for him. We are so blessed by him, he prayed hard with us for this little guy and also praised the Lord with us for this baby miracle!
Big sister!
Marie did not leave his side for many hours! She has a "big" love for her brother!
His first bath. We all gathered together to watch, Wyatt was captivated as he was cleaned up!
Some close up time for Papa
Everyone soon joined in!
Off for a rest!
So peaceful! At the end of the day, we sit in awe and stare at the mighty gifts God has given to us! Why us? We are unsure... but we know for sure the Lord is GOOD!
