Family Picking

If I had to pick a favorite berry it would be the blueberry. We have picked loads full each year freeze them and use them in lots of different recipes through out the year. If you have never experienced fruit picking as a family I encourage you to do so! We love it!

These blueberries are so dark blue and full of flavor. These are not your small sour kind.

This is my niece we took along a few helpers to make the picking easier.

Everyone was hard at work! We had a contest to see who could get the most weight in their bucket. Its a fun way to keep everyone focused!

Marie had no focus just a whole lot of eating time! She has both cup holders full and the blue bucket has a good layer on the bottom. I am not sure how many she ate, but I do know that for the next 3 days of diaper changing.... Well anyway she had fun!

Here is Wyatt hard at work. He wanted to win the challenge so bad! He picked 3 1/2 lbs. A great try!
Here is Isaac the winner (besides Aunt Robyn), he picked 4 3/4 lbs.

Kasey came in 3rd with under 4 1/2 lbs due to a few to many blueberry bombs being thrown!

Now this little girl may seem hard at work, but not the case. She liked to pick off the ground (yuck), eat, eat, spill them and eat! By the end she had two little squished blueberries in her bucket!

We froze 25 lbs and made 1 batch of blueberry jam!
